"I Love Summer"

The kids at Little Buffalo Lake couldn’t wait for the summer as it was hard to swim in the winter when the lake was frozen. The families on the south side of the lake had it the best as there was a clubhouse on that side. Fast Burt, the recreational director, was a party maverick and loved to organize Conga lines, especially when any of the teen residents had sorority sisters visiting from college. Burt liked everyone to rub on oil before they formed the line as it made holding the dance formation more challenging. This seasonal painting is a sunny 10″ x 14″ and is made with bright acrylic paint on canvas board.
