"Howie Zelnick – Rhythm Guitar"

Howie Zelnick was a talented guitar player who specialized in Soul sounds. He always had the biggest Afro of any band member, I suppose to compensate for his ivory skin tone. From afar, he looked like an upside down crinoline slip mounted on a pimp’s suit. But he played guitar well, especially intros. He liked to bounce his Afro to the beat and playing the same thing over and over allowed him to concentrate more on his hair than the song itself. Put together your own band by visiting my other paintings, “Too Much Wah Wah” and “They Go Boom Boom“. This acrylically painted canvas board is 9″ x 12”, significantly smaller than Howie’s afro.
